Hypoallergenic Dogs

Hypoallergenic Dogs are dogs that do not have the same level of allergens in their coat. There are many dogs that are hypoallergenic. Dachshunds are said to be among these. We've actually sold a few dachshunds(long hair included) to families that have one or two members that are allergic to dogs - and they have had no problems whatsoever.

Many people have never experienced the joy of owning a dog due to the fact that they are allergic to dogs. This is a terrible and unnecessary fact that most people have no idea that they can still own a dog despite their allergies.

This list is by no means complete, there are many others, not to mention the hairless ones. Just keep in mind, being classified as a Hypoallergenic Dog does not mean that the dog has no allergens, but simply that the allergens are reduced a great deal.

Air purifiers and regular grooming are always recommended, especially when the owner has allergies.
